The Oregon fifth and sixth grade Physicians Plus baseball team finished off its Little League season with a record of 11-1 before entering the oregon Little League World Seiers tournament held earlier in July.
They went undefeated their first three games of the double elimination tournament to put them into what could have been the championship game, but due to some solid hitting the UB&T team worked its way back up through the bracket after a loss, to win 14-11. Oregon’s Youth Baseball tournament lacks the space for a facility, and the event will be held in Brooklyn and Fitchburg along with Oregon’s fields. Oregon Fire U14 girls and Oregon Cyclones U17 boys picked up wins in their opening games, and day one of the Oregon Soccer Internationale brought out parents and fans from all over Wisconsin.

“The original thoughts behind the tournament was to showcase soccer in the community and to expose the public with the number of teams that come down,” said soccer tournament director Wayne Mixdorf.
The tournament will be broken up into different age groups and follow the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) rules.
In a sloppy third and fourth inning, Verona scored eight runs, only three being earned, and Oregon's comeback momentum, after pulling to within one run in the second, was taken away.
